With a very similar dimension, composition and density to Earth, is the second planet from the Sun and the one closest to us. Being an inner planet, it always walks close to the Sun with a maximum elongation of approximately 47º. It has some interesting curiosities like, the day lasts more than a year, one day on Venus lasts 243 Earth days and the year 225 Earth days, the Sun rises in the West, the average surface temperature is 465º C, enough to melt lead. The planet's surface is inaccessible to optical telescopes due to the total coverage of acidic clouds that, with cyclonic winds, circulate the planet every five days. For the amateur astrophotographer the objective is to register the changes in the nebulous layer and for that it is necessary to use some specific filters, particularly filters with passband in ultraviolet, violet or infrared. Violet filters must be used in combination with an infrared cut filter.
